I had a pleasant experience at The 1852 Hotel, with comfortable and clean rooms that enhanced my stay. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the city center and near various dining options. However, the noise from the nearby bar and outside can be disruptive at night, making it a bit challenging to get a good night's sleep.

Rooms

My room was spacious and well-maintained, with a modern design that I appreciated. However, it got quite warm, and there was no air conditioning to help cool it down.
Service

The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. I felt welcomed right from check-in, although I did encounter some wait times for my room.
Location

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the train station and surrounded by restaurants and bars. It's perfect for exploring Belfast, but keep in mind that it can get noisy at night from local nightlife.

While I didn't dine extensively at the hotel, the café staff were attentive and the breakfast options seemed appealing. I enjoyed a lovely cappuccino during my stay.

The self-check-in process was straightforward, making my arrival quite simple. However, I did miss having a lift available to ease carrying luggage up the stairs.

I found the concept of The 1852 Hotel intriguing, but my stay had its ups and downs. The self-check-in was a bit chaotic, leading to a frustrating start. The location is excellent, central to various attractions, and the staff were notably friendly and helpful. However, the noise levels from outside and my room's design left much to be desired. Overall, it has potential, but execution could improve. 😊

Rooms
6.0
My room had an elegant design, but it was quite cramped, and the bathroom layout was impractical. The high temperature made it uncomfortable, especially with inadequate airflow.
Service
8.0
The bar and café staff were friendly and attentive, contributing positively to my experience despite the initial check-in confusion.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is ideal, close to restaurants, bars, and public transport, making it easy to explore Belfast and enjoy the nearby Botanic Gardens.
Dining

The bar offered a good atmosphere and friendly service, but the dining options had limited vegetarian selections.

The self-check-in process was convenient but not without issues, exemplifying the hotel’s modern concept yet revealing gaps in execution.

I had a pretty good stay at The 1852 Hotel, with the location being the highlight for me since it's right in the lively Botanic area, close to loads of bars and eateries. The room was spacious and clean, but I did struggle with some noise from the surrounding nightlife and the street. The self check-in process was efficient, though I encountered a bit of a hiccup needing my passport photo, which was a minor inconvenience. Overall, I think it offers solid value for a visit to Belfast.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean, equipped with a kettle and refreshments. Despite being located above a gin bar, which made it a bit noisy on Saturday night, it was still comfortable.
Service
9.0
The staff were really friendly and helpful, especially when I needed assistance with the check-in process. They seemed genuinely willing to make things easier for me.
Location
8.0
The location was fantastic, right in the bustling Botanic area, but it did come with some noise from traffic and nightlife, especially over weekends.
Dining
7.0
Though I didn't get to enjoy breakfast due to some kitchen issues, the bar downstairs had a decent atmosphere and the staff were welcoming.
Facilities

The self check-in process was streamlined, and I appreciated the few extra touches like a welcome drink in the fridge upon checkout.

I had an enjoyable two-night stay at The 1852 Hotel. The location was fantastic, nestled in the vibrant Botanic area with plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The self check-in process was quick, and I appreciated the cleanliness and modern vibe of the hotel. However, the noise from the bar below disrupted my sleep, especially in the mornings when the music started early.

Rooms
7.0
My room was spacious and clean, though I did notice it lacked soundproofing. The music from the bar below and sounds from adjacent rooms made it quite noisy at times. Still, the bed was very comfortable, providing a warm, cozy atmosphere after a long day.
Service
9.0
The staff were friendly and welcoming, which added to the overall positive experience. I also enjoyed a meal at the restaurant, where the service was attentive without being intrusive.
Location
8.0
Situated in a lively area, the hotel's location made it easy to explore Belfast. It's close to various dining options and public transport, though I did feel a bit uneasy returning at night due to the surroundings.
Dining
6.0
I had a mixed experience with dining. While my meal at the restaurant was lovely, I encountered some issues with breakfast service that could use improvement. The staff seemed overwhelmed, which affected my overall experience.
Facilities
7.0
The free beer upon check-in was a nice touch, and the self check-in process was efficient, but there were no additional amenities that stood out. The cramped reception area and nightly bar noise could be better managed.

I recently stayed at The 1852 Hotel for a gig with my husband. Overall, the hotel was gorgeous with spacious rooms and a lovely bar/restaurant downstairs. However, there were a few downsides like the lack of a lift and some noise from the bar area. Still, these didn't spoil our experience, and I would love to return once again.

Rooms
9.0
My room was really spacious and perfectly decorated. I loved the comfy bed and the cleanliness was great. However, there was no lift, which made navigating the stairs a bit difficult for me with my spinal issues.
Service
10.0
The staff were really friendly and helpful. They made our stay more enjoyable, and I appreciated the lovely conversation I had with a woman I assume was the manager. They were attentive to our needs, such as helping us with getting a taxi.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was excellent, right in the vibrant Botanic area. It was easy to explore nearby restaurants and bars, and being close to public transport made our city adventures hassle-free.
Dining
8.0
I enjoyed the great food at the bar/restaurant downstairs. The quality was noticeable, and we had a wonderful breakfast on our last day that filled us up nicely. The only downside was the volume level from the bar, which could be distracting.
Facilities
7.0
The self check-in process was efficient and simple. I appreciated the complimentary drinks upon arrival and the overall modern amenities. However, the breakfast timings weren't ideal for business travelers.
